About Us
What we do
What we do is very simple: we help young people believe in themselves through the medium of drama!
How do we do that? By running a whole variety of activities and learning programmes designed for children under 16, which are far more than just your run-of-the-mill drama classes. We’re not here to train the next big acting sensation, though we’d be overjoyed to see one of our kids on the stage or big screen one day! Instead, we’re here to give children a place where they can express themselves freely, build confidence, make friends, and feel proud of who they are, all without the pressure of competition or auditions.
Above all else, Big Mouth Theatre is a place to connect and have fun!
We offer a number of exciting programmes throughout the year, designed to suit different ages, abilities, and schedules. All of our clubs are open to everyone, and no prior drama experience is needed.
We’re always looking for new, exciting ways to engage children, but here’s what we already offer:
Saturday Theatre Program
Our Saturday Theatre programs run during term time, and offer a dynamic mix of acting, performance technique, and developmental drama games designed to promote ideas for the children’s very own productions. This fun-filled, creative journey is a brilliant way for the children to express themselves, build new skills, and work together on shows where everyone gets a chance to shine.
After School Drama Clubs
Held in schools across the region, our Afterschool Drama Clubs are a brilliant way for children to unwind and let their imaginations fly free after a busy day sat in a classroom. These relaxed, friendly sessions are all about trying something new, building confidence and embracing creativity – all while having fun and making new friends.
Holiday Drama Camps
As jam-packed with energy as any kid during the holidays! Our popular Drama Camps are full of laughter, games, activities, and mini performances that keep children engaged, inspired, and entertained.
Whether a child wants to take their first steps into drama or build on a growing passion, Big Mouth Theatre offers a safe, supportive, and joyful space to grow – not just as a performer, but as a person.
